The DSA helps to ensure that the College truly becomes a growing and caring Christian community
for every student.

The Divinity Students’ Association is a vital part of the student life of the College. The DSA is composed of all students enrolled in McMaster Divinity College, and its executive is drawn from students in each of the three years of enrolment.
The purpose of the association is to promote fellowship within the Divinity College, to create links with pre-divinity students, to establish meaningful ties with alumni/ae of the College, and to maintain communication with churches of the Baptist community and of other denominations.
Meet the 2010-2011 DSA Executive:
James Kelly, President
James Kelly is first and foremost sold out for Jesus and aims to put Him first above all else in life. He comes to the DSA with a business commerce degree from Dalhousie University and a number of years experience in the executive recruiting industry. He serves at Lincoln Road Chapel in Waterloo, Ontario and is entering his second year of his Masters of Divinity at McMaster. He believes the DSA has a major impact on the experience of a student of the College and has a deep desire to be a part of creating a community that feels like a second home to its students.

Sandy Smith, Treasurer
Sandy Smith is thrilled to be saved by grace. She is in her seventh year as a MacDiv student, with no end in sight. In her free time she is a high school science teacher, but her real passion is for learning about wrath, Hebrew textlinguistics, and underrated minor prophets. These interests will be neatly combined in her upcoming MA thesis on Nahum. This is Sandy's fifth year as DSA treasurer; she encourages you to participate in DSA events because they are a great way to meet people and build community. |
