McMaster Divinity College

We live in a culture that is desperately hungry for transcendence and authentic spirituality. My task is to help students grasp the opportunity of communicating the unchanging Christian gospel in words that our society is able to hear.

In my view, our current preoccupation with redefining worship and preaching represents both danger and opportunity: the danger of emphasizing form over substance, and the opportunity of reclaiming the essence of the Christian gospel, so as to communicate Christ with integrity in our day.
