Clark H. Pinnock

Clark H. Pinnock
Over the course of my life as a theologian, I have been a pilgrim and have sought to grow as a hearer of the word of God. Theology has for me been a journey of discovery and I have been both conservative and contemporary.
Professor Emeritus of Systematic Theology
B.A. University of Toronto
Ph.D. University of Manchester, England

Clark Pinnock has enjoyed 25 fruitful years of preaching, teaching, and writing at McMaster Divinity College after having served previously at the University of Manchester, New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, and Regent College in Vancouver.

During his time in Hamilton, Clark has written a dozen or more books including Most Moved Mover (2001), Flame of Love (1996), and A Wideness in God’s Mercy (1992). Clark has established himself as one of the most creative theologians in North America, and his writings continue to stimulate others to think about fundamental issues in theology. In July 2002, Clark will become Professor Emeritus, but will continue writing and serving at the College, ready to contribute to the life of the community.

I have always found theology to be a great adventure and a path into the mystery of God. I have been, by nature, curious and anticipate with Saint Paul: "Now we know in part. Then we will know as we ourselves are known."
