Cadence at MacDiv is our ongoing continuing supportive education. Cadence provides an opportunity to explore the measured movements of leadership in ministry situations. In a variety of ways and at various times during the year we design events and courses which will help those in ministry to learn as they look at leadership from a number of different perspectives.

Encompassing not only our Summer at MacDiv program but much more, Cadence brings to our community a variety of ways to explore contemporary theological and practical issues as they arise in the Christian leadership context of the twenty-first century and is designed to respond to special situations as they surface and complement our existing educational programs

Cadence gives an opportunity to focus on timely issues such as the following:

• Counselling with the anxious in the light of 9/11
• Dealing with job loss in the Christian context
• Counselling those affected by the alternative lifestyle choices of friends and family
• Burnout prevention for those in vocational ministry
• Financial and retirement planning for those in vocational ministry
• Audio visual and sound equipment training for Church volunteers
• Professional development for Church Secretaries and other administrators
• Responsibilities, duties and challenges of the Church Board
• Our children and the Internet–What does the Bible say about this?
• Personal goal-setting and mission statements

This is only a brief list of possibilities designed more to give an idea of the scope of what could be done than to suggest a possible outline of things to do.

Cadence can also develop and present material on a customized basis for the particular needs of church or Christian organization.
